Sukalde is embarking on a new chapter at 19 Carrer de Bonaire, leaving behind its previous location near the Puro Hotel and Palma’s historic centre to join its family venues: La Vasca and La Vasca es Mexicana.
his change of location also represents an evolution in the way the project is understood. Sukalde retains the essence of the contemporary Basque cuisine that has defined the restaurant from the beginning, while embracing a more dynamic, approachable concept that is closely connected to both the bar and the guest.
Because Sukalde is movement. It is live cooking in front of the customer and authentic Basque produce prepared around a vibrant bar where something is always happening.
Live cooking and a new way to experience Sukalde
The new concept revolves around a simple idea: bringing the kitchen closer to the guest and turning the bar into the heart of the experience.
Here, ingredients are prepared right in front of you, in a space designed for sharing, discovering new dishes and enjoying the natural rhythm of service. A more open, direct and engaging style of dining that feels connected to the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Close to La Vasca and La Vasca es Mexicana
Sukalde’s arrival on Carrer de Bonaire also strengthens the connection between the different spaces that make up Grupo La Vasca.
Three distinct concepts, each with its own personality, now located just a few steps from one another, creating a small gastronomic hub in the heart of Palma.
A name that still defines the essence of the project
Sukalde means “kitchen” in Basque. Traditionally, it was the place where families gathered, talked and cooked slowly together.
That idea remains at the core of this new chapter: creating a space where guests feel at home while the kitchen and bar remain constantly alive with activity.
